cricut card paper doll dress up for corn stalks
Pooh and Friends Cricut cart: fence's, basket of apples and some of the leaves

~the inside~
all sentiments are from "Season of Giving" by Hero Arts
except I masked off happy and hand wrote "Across the miles"

I was pretty happy that I could incorporate all the required colours in the image, isn't that scarecrow toooo cute :) I just LOVE this stamp!!! It's perfect for this time of year and for creating scene's, another love of mine :)
The fence's were a bit of work since it cuts out two sections at a time and I couldn't really weld them together since I had cut the field in two uneven sections, which is barely even noticeable now, so I cut several out and just did a lot of cutting and gluing to get them to go with the lay of the land.
I made the basket 3D by cutting it twice, adding a couple pop dots inside, then gluing the sides to  each other and cutting extra apples to fill the basket up more.
By the expression on the sunflowers face I think she's a little nervous that bird is hungry, LOL   All the leaves above the fences are supposed to be floating down from a nearby tree after  a recent big gust of wind. So they are actually in the foreground, otherwise they would have to be different sizes, which I could have done, if I had remembered I have a punch that cuts out smaller ones, doh, LOL next time!!
That's is for this weeks challenge, as soon as I saw it I knew which stamp I was using and that I was going to make a scene, this is a bit different than what I had in mind, but I like it much better. I've  been pretty busy trying to get the house ready to go on the market and I just haven't had time to work on it. Oh well, back at it, hubby built new railings for the front porch, off to paint, have a great day and ty so much for stopping by!! I hope your not to busy and can get your craft on! And if your state side have a wonderful Thanksgiving, surrounded by your loved one's, stay safe!! :)

Big inky hugs and glitter wishes!!

A blue& brown Christmas

Hello there my crafty friend :) This week's challenge over at Peachy Keen is Anything Goes. I love anything goes challenges, but I have had noooo mojo all week, and I was going to settle for entering the birthday card I made for my DT challenge this week, but shortly after watching  X Factor  I decided to make a card for my son and daughter in law in there fave colour combo, and thought what better image to use on it but  PK-328A Christmas Snowman mini. This is one of the very first stamps I wanted but one of the last ones I bought, lol! Sooo glad I have him in my collection, he's adorable!!
All the paper I used is from my stash so I don't know companies, sry, I have a lot of scrap paper I am trying to use up. I knew I wanted to use a pk image and the "Frostyville Border" die from memory box, so I figured I might as well enter it in this weeks challenge, if you enter every week your name goes in a draw to win a gift certificate for 30.00 to their store, who couldn't use some PK money? I know I sure could, it's a huge collection and I'm not even half way through it. Anyway, this is what I ended up with. :)
I used the two largest Labels 18 Spellbinders dies to pop my image on. I cut a brown one and trimmed off a bit on each side, then turned it side ways and pop dotted it onto the card. I cut out a white one and created the scene with a "tree" stamp I've had for a long time but not sure of the company name at the moment, have to find the tag that went MIA. Then I sponged some "blue sky" Martha Stewart chalk ink on it. Added a few swirls of glue and some Recollections fine "glitz" glitter for snow, also added some glue to the snow flake die cuts and sprinkled with the same glitter as well to give them a bit of bling.
I stamped my image, coloured most of it, then paper pieced his little sweater to match the bg dp. The fur on his hat and sweater is covered with "Ice White" Viva pearl pen. I used YG17, E33, B02, B05, E33 and E35 copics to colour him in. I used an orange sharpie to do his nose, the tip is so nice and fine, I just knew I'd mess it up if I tried to get into the teenie tiny tip of the carrot. Then I cut out some snowflakes from a provocraft 2X2 die, added some $ store bling and popped them on.

Challenges

So glad you dropped by, please leave me a comment and I will come check out your creations :) I have to go finish leaving love on all the entrants blogs, I only got to entrant 31yesterday, now there's more than 50. There are some amazing entries, if you haven't seen them you should come over and check them out. :) Just click on the link below my pics. Ty so much, have a great week and happy scrapping!

Big inky hugs and glitter wishes....

A week full of birthdays

Hello there my crafty friend, always happy to see you. I hope you find a little inspiration after seeing what I've been up to :) This week is a busy week for birthdays for me. It actually started last week with my niece's on the 9th, my very good friend in Nova Scotia celebrated hers yesterday, my aunt and cousin were both born on the 15th, (mother and daughter) my cousins sons is on the 16th, (same cousin)  my mother in laws is on the 19th and another really good friend of mine has hers on the 20th. That's a lot of bday cards!!!
Unfortunately I have been busy busy around the house though, well as much as I can that is, my body only lets me do so much then retaliates for hrs on end :(  And although I am feeling much better than last week when I felt like I had a flu bug/cold I am not having a great week pain wise. So with all this yuckyness going on and trying to get things accomplished on the house so we will be able to put it on the market soon I haven't had any mojo. I spent over a week trying to come up with a card for my Sketch Challenge over at The Outlawz. Anndddd you probably already know I love playing in the weekly challenges over at the Peachy Keen Challenge blog as well and this week is anything goes....I just haven't been able to come up with anything....yet!!
Well this is the first card I got finished for my Nov. birthday list and I followed the sketch to help me create it.  We have some amazingly talented designers and members submitting awesome awesome projects over there, so come on over and check us out, hopefully you will be inspired to play along. We also have many many great companies sponsoring our challenges too.
This month our sketch challenge sponsor is:
you have to check them out, they have lots of great products at great prices...

and my interpretation
I think this one will be for my MIL, she loves flowers

I used a retired set called spring Bouquet for my main focal image which I stamped 3 times, then coloured and hand cut to get lots of dimension for the flowers and the handle of the pot. I coloured this gorgeous peachy keen image using my limited supply of copics. I am still learning so I'm no where near as talented as so many fellow crafters, someday I hope to be at least close to that calibre though LOL.  I realize there are three layers to the focal image, and when I cut out the lacey circle I intended to cut out another layer in a different colour before pop dotting my image to it, but not thinking...I  inked it up and forgot about that little plan LOL....but I did layer and pop dot the heck out of the flowers so I figure I covered all the layers that way, LOL And I had a totally different idea for my side embellishment as well, was planning on a really pretty large bow, but at the last second decided a gem flourish and 3D butterflies would be nicer next to all those pretty spring flowers for a birthday card. I think a ty or get well card would look fantastic with a big bow! What do you think....maybe I should make this card again and add a bow to see how it would look!
Supply list:
Copics used: V15,  RV02, YR02, YR20, Y13, Y02, YG17, G17, G99, C-0
Image and sentiment ~ Memento ink - black tuxedo
Stickles: yellow, cotton candy, fruit punch, orange
Spellbinders: Lacey Labels - Ovals, nested lacey pennants, (cut once on white, embossed and inked, then traced the die and cut by hand in pink cs for matting, then pop dotted)
Used a precut Large card base from Michaels and matted it with a piece of designer paper from my scrap dp drawer. :)
PK-284 Spring Bouquet- this set is wonderful, it has so many great sentiments so the image can be used for lots of special occasions, the Happy Birthday being one of them, I LOVE IT, to bad it's retired! :(

Ty so much for stopping by, I hope you like my card! Please leave me a comment so I know you were here and I will come and see what you've been working on....make any birthday cards lately? LOL  :)  Take care and happy crafting! Sending you big inky hugs and glittery wishes for a great week! Stay safe and be blessed! :)

Wednesday again???

Oh my goodness, another week gone already, where does the time go? It seems to just fly on by. I'm surprised I ever accomplish anything!! :) Well, here it is Wednesday again and time for another Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz.

The sketch

my take :)
Challenges
~ abusybee suggested I entered their Christmas challenge, check them out and enter your newest Christmas project for the chance to win one of her great stamp sets! :) GL

Since I haven't been feeling well for the past 3 or 4 days, I wanted this card to be fast and simple, this came together rather quickly and easily, perfect!!  And I really like it :) LOL  All the dp is from my Christmas stash, the smaller flakes on the quilled swirls are remnants from a MS aspen snowflake punch, the other ones are sparkly material, I bought a bag full at the $ store two yrs ago, still using them up :) The main dp is beautiful and shiney, had it for a few yrs, I think this is the last piece and the snowman one is a flat finish but the snowmen are glittered, also the last piece.
The sentiment was in a Christmas Momenta 5X7 card stock pad that came with papers and stickers. It was cheap at a store closing sale but the front cover was missing so I don't know the name of the pad and couldn't find it on their web site, sry. The papers are really nice, and double sided! Wish they had more of these pads :)  I quilled the swirls. :)
Ty for stopping by, I hope you join us in this weeks sketch challenge, and check out the rest of the site, you just might find another challenge you'd be interested in, there's 8 different one's to choose from, great prizes and lots of very talented and kind members to get to know :) Can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge! Please leave me a comment so I know you were here, I love to read them and come by and visit you and leave you some love as well!! :)

Big inky hugs and glittery wishes

Snowflakes from heaven

Wow, that went fast, it's time for the PK challenge again....where does the time go? Although it doesn't help that I have been sick, and still am but I wanted to get this card done. This week it's a sketch challenge. I really like it too, has lots of  elements to it.

I thought I'd like to use a quilled snowflake for my circle element, and lots of "snowy" papers, but I wanted to incorporate more peachy goodness so for the smallest mat behind the snowflake I used the PK-231A Country Bumpkin Snowflake set to create a sheet of dp. The it seemed so over powering that I used a piece of vellum over it to make it softer. I used the swiss dots embossing folder for the horizontal strip on the left and PK-493 Everyday character face parts & more to give my quilled flake some personality.
Challenges
Peachy Keen Challenge

After I attached the flake I thought it needed something so I  painted on some glistening snow writer by DecoArt. It doesn't look that great going on but once it dries all the glittery goodness is soo pretty. :)
And of course as snowflakes fall they kind of flutter, tumble and float, so I mounted it with an action wobble....so fun!! :)
I seriously need more snowman faces.....and you know what that means!!! SHOPPING!!!! There just so happens to be a huge awesomely sweet sale going on at PK till Nov. 12....check out my next post here for all the deets! And there's a hop coming on Thurs. which I'll share with you as well.
Thank you sooo much for checking out my newest PK challenge project, leave me a comment and I'll come see what your newest project is.  Big inky hugs and glittery wishes, hope your getting your craft on, have a great day!!

Halloween Magic

Hello again my crafty friend, ty so much for stopping by. As you may know I am on the Outlawz sketch challenge design team that runs on Wednesdays. Sketch challenges are great because you already now where to put everything, now you just have to decide what "everything" is!! Die cuts, images, layers, bling...come play along with us and show us your "everything" :)
This week's sketch is a rather simple one and the ladies on the design team are all incredibly talented crafty creators, you need to pop on over to The Outlawz Sketch Challenge to see what they made with this sketch, fantastic inspiration for sure!!

This week's Sketch
tol you it was an easy one ;)
My inspiration card
I fell in love with this stamp a few weeks ago when I went shopping at M's with some of my birthday money and saw a half price sign and she was sitting under it. Scoop....mine!!! lol I sure hope you can see this card in all it's glory, and the reason I say that is because the colours aren't true on my laptop screen but are on the larger screen it is attached to. So here's a description for you, just incase, LOL
The image is P168 Halloween Magic by 2012 Stampendous, isn't she just so awesome, I'm really not into grunge or whatever all the stuff that has sprockets and gears and stuff on it is, but this one is awesome! I only have two purple copics markers to choose from and I used both on her, as I knew I wanted to do her up in purple. Especially since I also had gotten an awesome Halloween stack by Recollections called Haunted Estate, the papers are awesome, and I loved this purple bg dp with the shiny black spider web pattern on it and knew the two were a perfect match.
I coloured the dress and hat with V28 (eggplant) and V15 (mallow) which has a sort of pink tone to it. I used C7 for her hair and a silver gel pen on the clock, the gear and the tiny dots of the mask. I made the two mats using labels 4, cutting the black one out twice and cutting one in half to make the black layer wider as it was the biggest one and she is a big image. I glued the mats together and glued them to the dp. I attached her with an action wobble, I just love those things, LOL  I also wanted to use the MS spider web punch I also got with some bday money at 50% off...YAY I cut 4 strips and glued them to frame the dp, then pop dotted it onto a piece of purple that matched the pinkier of the two markers since the dp matched the darker shade so well and I wanted to bring out the lighter colour more. When I was done I felt the mask didn't show enough bling to it so I used silver ice  ice stickles to go over the little silver dots around the mask and dusty concord TH distress stickles on the mask itself and her shoes. I also painted the spider web strips with TH black soot distress stickles. It really is much prettier in person, I even love the texture on the white mat shes mounted on.
Ty so much for checking out my project for our new challenge, in face we have already had several ladies  finish and enter their take on the challenge, they are all awesome entries at that, so heyy come check them out too :) Hope to see you around the Outlawz, it's a fun place to play, and we have sooooooo many talented ladies crafting over there, members as well as design team ladies, and with 8  different challenges to choose from there is bound to be something you like doing most as far as challenges go. check us out!!

Please leave me a comment and I'll be sure to stop over and check out what you have been up to lately, big inky hugs and glittery wishes for health and wealth!!
