Vase of paper flowers

Hello my crafty friends!!

Today I thought I would share a vase of flowers I made for my aunt for her birthday in May. She had seen the lilies I made for another project and commented she would love a bouquet of them, and she would pay me. Around the same time I saw a post on her face book page showing the beautiful magnolia tree in bloom and commenting this was her fav. flower. I also knew she loved lily of the valley. So I decided to make her a bouquet of the three together for her birthday instead.
To make the magnolia flowers I actually drove around the neighbourhood looking for a house with one of these trees in their front yard, then went and asked if they would mind if I cut one bloom off for my project. I wanted to see the flower up close and the shape of the petals to get them right....I learnt how to make the Lilies on Valita's Designs and fresh folds, she's amazing with punches. And I just came up with the lilies which were way to much work LOL!
So here it is.....I hope you like it

This is the real flower

the flower was sitting out on my desk all day and it just completely opened up wide

I didn't do a tutorial on this but the I made the petals for the magnolia by stretching a pear shape from a cartridge for the cricut on my design studio.
Thank you for stopping by, and have a craft happy day!
